Here are some suggestions to make the make the website for viewer friendly. There is some good material there we just need to make in more concise in certain areas and highlight some things more. It would also be nice if dispersed throughout you had some testimonials from the youth and the community.

HISTORY: Give a brief history of the program.

MISSION STMT: I would try to condense the essence of your program to one sentence.

Here is an example: transcenDANCE uses the performing arts to unite multi-ethnic, underserved youth and provides them with a safe venue to foster self-awareness, encourage self-expression, transcend self-imposed limits.inspire change, create hope and positively impact themselves and the world around them.

maybe here you can list the onjectives/goals/performance measures/values of the program: Every grant you apply for will what to know your objectives, how you plan on reaching your objectives and how your met your goals. I looked at the webiste with that perspective .

 

Here are some examples:

*transcenDANCE provides underserved , multi-ethinic, youth with exposure and training in different art forms including writing, dance , choreography and theatre.

*Provides a safe venue for multi-ethnic youth to share common interests and work together fostering appreciation for diversity ,tolerance and acceptance.

*Teaches youth self discovery, self-empowerement, self-esteem and leadership skills as they take an active role in the dveloping. writiing, cheoregrahing and dancing within the performances.

*Creates service learning and community outreach opportunities for the youth so they can establish bonds with their community.

*Creates life-long appreciation for the arts.

*Provides a positive alternative and after-school activity for the youth.

*Creates a venue for the youth to be heard, accepted and respected.

*Encourages teamwork, discipline and responsibility within the youth.

transcenDANCE is a SanDiego based non-profit, that provides exposure and technically training in writing, choregraphy, dance and theatre to underserved youth.  transcenDANCE offiers this unique opportunity to a small, hand selected group of youth, between the ages of 15 to 20.  The youth deepen their knowledge  on social topics by listening to each other, attending lectures, attending museums, and through other venues and resources. The youth then go through an intensive technical training in different performance arts including theatre, dance and writing. Then by working together using their artistic knowledge, skills and training they develop, write, choregraph and perfrom in various projects, sharing their stories. It is in the telling of their stories that they find healing and empowerment.and by sharing their stories it provides hope and inspiration to tothers. Auditions are held every December.
